Our Story

Two generations.
One standard.

Modern Concept Interiors has been shaping spaces across Metro Detroit since the beginning, and the promise has not changed.

The Beginning

It started with
a craftsman.

The studio began in a Pontiac workshop with a single rule, taped to the wall in block letters: build it right, or do not build it at all. Every joint had to hold. Every finish had to age well. If a corner could be cut, that was the corner our founder refused to touch.

There was no marketing plan and no billboard. Work came in the way it still does, through a client who liked how their kitchen felt years later, or a builder who trusted us with the next project because we had not let them down on the last one. A quiet reputation, built one room at a time.

Today

The next generation took the tools, not just the name.

The second generation grew up in the shop before ever sitting down at a drafting table. That upbringing shaped what the studio has become: a full architecture and interior design practice that still speaks the language of the trades, and still treats a floor plan as a promise to whoever will live inside it.

Today the work spans hospitality, restaurants, and private homes, all held to the same measure it started with. New tools, new disciplines, longer client lists, and the same answer to the same question: is it built right yet.

Where We've Worked

Trusted at the highest level.

Hospitality work is unforgiving. It demands precision under pressure, finishes that hold up to thousands of guests a year, and deadlines that simply cannot move. Those projects taught the studio how to deliver at that standard every time.
